Experienced therapist, supervisor, clinical educator specialising in trauma therapy and parenting.

Victoria Kean MSocHlthCouns
(she/her)

I’m a therapist, clinical supervisor, consultant and trainer based in Albury Wodonga.

I started this journey, a long and winding path, over 25 years’ ago and have gained a real depth of experience and learning along the way.

I work with teens and adults of all ages across a range of issues, including family, domestic and sexual violence, complex trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, and parenting.

I specialise in working with trauma and trauma-related dissociation, and working with parents who have teens or young adults using violence or other challenging behaviours in the home.

My passion is supporting people to recover, reconnect, and thrive. After 25 years, I still love what I do.

Integrative. Tailored. Specialised.

My approach

My work is trauma informed and integrative, drawing from multiple approaches and theories to tailor therapy to your needs.

My approach is grounded in understanding how your past experiences influence your present thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns. Rather than focusing only on coping strategies or changing behaviours, we'll work together to understand the deeper reasons behind what you're experiencing and support lasting change.

I incorporate other approaches, such as EMDR, narrative therapy, and parts work, depending on what will work best to help you to reach your goals. Keeping your nervous system and what’s happening in your body central, helps to set the right pace for you.

Modalities aside, my approach is authentic and present. I’ll be there, not as an emotionally distant, purely objective therapist, but as someone who is engaged, intentional, and holds space for all of life’s complexities.
